POEM: Du'as While Fasting Are More Likely To Be Answered By Allah's Will.

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

It's Ramadan - SubhanAllah until now
A few fools think I'll change my ways and leave him -
As fakes, making up lies, pretending to be
Whom they're not - wishing I'd agree with their whims.

My husband is a trust from God. Whether my
Spouse is righteous or not, I'm there to advise -
To counsel him, guide him to Allah's Straight Way,
And pray for him, while understanding his cries.

From the time I was engaged to him, trust was
There - from the time we married, loyalty too.
As I learned more about Islam, bad habits
I left behind, with sins I no longer do.

I know that God allows it, but He hates it -
As I love Allah, I look down on divorce.
I know that my husband can be wed to four,
Thus, if he remarries, I don't feel remorse.

That Allah loves the patient I know that too -
My husband's wrongdoings - God will deal with them.
Though he works far away, I'll always cherish
Our sweet memories - gifts and love notes he sent.

I know that Allah loves those who are thankful,
Thus, I'm grateful to Allah first and foremost.
I thank my husband for whatever advice
He gave and other things, which many don't know.

Never will I listen to so-called advice
Of those who are single or who left their spouse -
Divorce in most cases would make satan smile,
While true faith and good manners make satan frown.

True love is loving your spouse for Allah's sake,
Forgiving his flaws, helping him do what's right,
When his smiles please you, while his tears cause worry -
And mentioning him in du'as day and night.

Only God the Almighty, Most Merciful,
Knows how to deal with those who strive to keep my
Spouse away from me. In both worlds, good and bad
Deeds return to their doers eventually.

~What Goes Around Comes Around

POEM: True Love Of The First Muslim Wife

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Note: Avoid drawing realistic images of living beings for Allah's sake :)

'Tis strange how she knows no jealousy when
Her spouse sees his other wives now and then,
When she has no ring yet the second does,
How she loves him though he's not always just -

What keeps her content with his other wives -
With his second wife he chats day and night,
With his third he's traveled around the world,
And when he's with his fourth they seem so close?

Why is it that she's okay when she knows
The second deals well with his tears and woes,
The third is fun - great at making him smile,
And the fourth cooks and cares for him with style?

It's because she loves him; she's his first wife -
His confidant- ready to give advice,
She's the righteous wife - his map and treasure -
Wherever he is, they're still together.

She loves Allah the most, therefore she knows
That she must remain loyal to her spouse -
So Allah has gifted her with wisdom,
Taqwa/true faith and guidance to Heaven.

Wasalaam~

POEM: Of The Best Joys Is The Righteous Muslim Wife

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

^ to enlarge or zoom in, click on the above image :)

To Muslim men blessed with righteous Muslim wives,
Below are signs that your Muslim wife loves you:
Each moment spent with you she appreciates.
Sweet memories she keeps, even though they're few.

Of the most beautiful words she hears from you
Are "I love you", and "I'm sorry", and "Thank you".
She loves you lots that you she's willing to share -
For Allah's sake - with wife four, wife three, wife two.

Your tears are her worries, your smiles her joy - that
You're a trust from God is what keeps her enticed.
She understands you truly, forgives your flaws,
And allows you space to be with friends at times.

Sincerely eager to forgive your mistakes,
She bears no grudge when you're with your other wives.
She trusts Allah, and knows God sees everything.
When you're with her, by your love she's mesmerized.

She loved you from the day you both got married -
Wed by Allah's Will, witnessed by so many -
Your looks she accepts - age gap she does not mind,
For God's sake she loves you - you're her spouse only -

You're the only man living whom she desires
And fancies, though you're in a far-off country -
Through her advice, and friendship with those you love,
And her trust, she draws an art of loyalty.

She's your wife, whom for Allah's sake you married:
Your treasure from God, a gift of hope, and light.
Lucky are you Muslim wed to righteous wives,
Who in their du'as include you day and night.

POEM: Wisdom In Some Events + Ramadan Reminders

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

There are special events which take place by Allah's Will,
Things that happen which we may not always comprehend -
Like when some losers show you porn on your timeline, go
Online scarcely, and God wants your du'as against them.

When some disrespect you, they prove that they are jealous -
When they envy, it means you have blessings they don't have.
When some mistreat you or steal from you, they take your sins.
And when some are nice, God may want them in your du'as.

When you must wait in a long line - at malls or airports -
It may be that God wants you to befriend one in need.
When you misplace an item, God may want it replaced
With a better one or acts that add to your good deeds.

When the Net gets boring, God wants you to be with Him,
Memorizing from the Qur'an, seeking good knowledge -
When some ex-friends won't reconnect, they're just not worthy
Of your words and time. Each affair has its advantage.

Life is like a school. Lessons are learned from all mistakes.
Easy lessons for beginners - tough for the advanced.
To do well in both worlds by Allah's Mercy, stick to
The Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad* and the Qur'an.

*SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

~What goes around comes around~
Include all Muslims worldwide in your good du'as :)

Allah the Most Wise knows best. It was narrated that Allah's Messenger Muhammad sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "There are three -Muslims- whose du'as are never rejected (by Allah the Almighty) they are: the fasting person until he completes his fast, the just ruler or anyone in a leading position who is just/fair, and the Muslim who is oppressed."
[Tirmidhi]

POEM:The Difference Between Good Teachers And Bad Teachers

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

From teachers I've observed at schools I've been to,
And surveys of students regarding their likes,
With God's Will I've gathered nine differences
Between good teachers and bad teachers unwise:

One: Bad teachers teach with insincerity,
Full of lies, they mainly work for the money.
Good teachers teach sincerely for Allah's sake,
To help and share their knowledge out of mercy.

Two: Bad teachers are often late or absent,
Late to arrive in class, early to go home.
Good teachers are regularly on time, and
Don't mind completing their work in class alone.

Three: Bad teachers get angry when asked questions -
Lessons unclear - for them 'one word is enough'.
Good teachers are ready to answer and help,
They love making things easy that which is tough.

Four: Bad teachers lack good manners and kind words.
No words of encouragement - they hate to smile.
Good teachers are motherly, fatherly, nice -
Meetings with their students are fun and worthwhile.

Five: Bad teachers treat parents as enemies -
They hate them in class, like they have things to hide.
Good teachers see parents as friends or teammates,
And they welcome guests to their class anytime.

Six: Bad teachers are so good at backbiting -
They speak badly of both teachers and students.
Good Muslim teachers know that God is Watching,
Gossip shows one's ignorance - and imprudence.

Seven: Bad teachers take their class for granted -
They don't correct mistakes, and don't grade on time.
Good teachers are always honest in grading,
And are proud, not jealous, when a student shines.

Eight: Bad teachers refuse to lead or follow -
They're passive - or the school's rules they contradict.
Good teachers have initiative to do right -
Both leaders and followers, they're not too strict.

Nine: Bad teachers don't take control of their class.
With their class so noisy, not all students learn.
Good teachers are able to quiet a class
Of many students, through being kind and firm.

While each teacher has his/her own teaching style,
What's important is that knowledge is received.
Countries can thrive when all are educated
And are willing to help meet each other's needs.

The Prophet Muhammad* is the best teacher -
Many lessons and good morals he had taught.
Teachers, know that teaching is a trust from God.
Thus, do your best, as it's the most noble job.

May Allah the Most Kind accept our good deeds,
And reward us for teaching all that we know.
Ameen. So teach for Allah's sake, keep learning,
Educate, inspire, love - the Way to God show.

*SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam

POEM: What Your Past Memories Can Teach You

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 Bismillah… in Allah’s Name I begin...
This piece about my ‘childhood memories’.
InshaAllah I shall mention a few
Of the good times that God has given me.

This is not to annoy any Muslim –
This is to recall some of the good times
That Allah blessed me with and so that I
Thank Allah even more each day and night.

 I remember that time when I haven’t
Started school –somewhere in east of Saudi
While waiting for the door to be unlocked,
I was drinking milk –flavored strawberry -

In that same apartment I recall some
Childhood friends playing with us in our flat
While each of us kids were given –by Mom
I think- some yummy Twix chocolate bars.

There too, I recall, my parents praying
While my bro and I hid in our kids’ tent –
That time I guess took place the Gulf War and
We had some gas masks –no lie, no pretense…

In Dammam I recall often going
To King Fahad Park with my family
With friends too –picnicking there and riding
Swan boats, trains… rides of a variety.

Often we’ve slept over at friends’ homes when
Going to Dammam from Riyadh City,
With the various cars we’ve had in Saudi -
White Toyota, black, silver and Audi.

I recall while on our car journeys how
I enjoyed gazing at the starry skies
Passing by sand dunes and rocky mountains,
Camels of different colors and size.

And I recall how our friends from Dammam
Would come to our house in Riyadh city-
 We’d have a gathering… dine together
 In villas of different qualities.

In Saudi, MashaAllah, we had friends
From almost every country of the world –
Brothers and sisters who all speak English –
Of various colors and age –young and old.

When I was young –even to my late teens,
My bros and I enjoyed watching T.V.
 Islamic programs in Arabic and
English - and old shows like Sesame Street.

I too recall that time when I sent a
Fax letter to an Islamic show ‘Live’...
 ‘Twas an Arabic Fatawa program
Where answers to my questions were derived -
About wearing the face-veil when outside,
Yes, it’s wajib –by Allah’s Rules abide.

Alhamdulillah, as a kid, I have
Traveled to many different countries –
Chatted with friendly strangers often –at
Airports, stations –with those who sat near me.

I recall that time when my bro Ahmad
And I were running around the airplane
With a brunette whose English I could not
Understand, and who was about our age.

MashaAllah, in many of our tours
As a kid, there were sweet and thrilling times…
Like when my bro and I unwillingly rode
That log flume ride to reach the other side.

I recall traveling to Denmark with
My bros and my Mom to meet my Dad there,
How we stayed at a nice house and how on
The way I had to leave my necklace hare.

In Denmark at the arrival I still
Recall seeing Dad smiling at us four,
Then riding a large bus then a small cab
And meeting a joyful dog at the door,

Whose name is Jasper… can you imagine…
How his name and breed I still remember,
And how the weather there was really cold,
How in the garden we played much soccer.

In Denmark I too remember my Dad
Buying us chocolates from a sweets store,
Among them Toblerone, Mars and Bounty, some
Round containers of candies and much more.

In the house we stayed in –for about a
Month, my brothers and I loved to explore,
From books, knitting needles, yarns, sewing kits…
Especially had fun playing outdoors.

 MashaAllah –more memories from my
 Childhood include exploring Disneyland,
 Walt Disney World, Universal Studios,
And Euro Disneyland in Paris, France,

Seeing statues of ‘celebs’ in the wax
Museum in the city of London.
Clowns shaping balloons in HongKong, going
 To zoos, planetariums and aquariums.

 MashaAllah –more memories include
Me playing arm wrestling with Saudi friends
At the public school I went to –and the
Many packs of gum that I’d bring and lend.

At the schools I’ve been to I was known for
Chewing and sharing gum almost each day
That a British-Saudi friend of mine called
Me “Bubblegum Princess” -’twas my nickname!

I recall how often I’d take the lead
In playing social games like Truth or Dare,
How I’ve performed many times on stage and
The many uniforms I used to wear,

And that time when I baked chocolate cake...
‘Twas heart-shaped, had rainbow sprinkles on top,
Gave slices of cake to friends and school mates…
Was a student too who loved to read a lot!

From among my childhood memories: Those
Times when my family and I'd donate
And give away many of our clothing
To the Muslims who were in a dire state -

 Muslims in Chechnya and Palestine,
Those in Bosnia and other countries –
I too recall the multinational
Charity food bazaars held at WAMY.

So you see, mashaAllah, God let me
Befriend people from different countries –
With us frequently changing apartments –
We’ve befriended colorful families.

More from my childhood memories include:
Riding ships, camels, a carriage with steeds,
Classic trains in Europe, monorail trains,
And in Disneyland a fun submarine.

Strangers I still remember from my past:
An Arab calling out to his mommy,
In the airport –I think, Heathrow airport-
In the playground: “Mama, ana monkey!”

And in Madinah after praying at
A well-known masjid –this cute old lady,
Whom I knew not but hugged my Mom dearly,
And gave her a ring with the letter ‘E’…
‘E’ for Emerald, ‘Eemaan’ or easy?

And that lass, about my age, who on a
Flight to Southeast of Asia sat near me,
While my family were seated in front
Of us –due to lack of space, I believe.

She was Indonesian I guess who worked
As a helper and spoke Arabic nicely,
So together we chatted throughout the
Flight in Arabic about so many.

More sweet memories: the running games I
Played with friends at the schools I have been to,
And that time when my Arab friends chose me
To draw some art to decorate the school,

How some Saudi girls complimented on my
Handwriting, how many times I would buy…
Sweets and chocolate like Galaxy to
Give my parents when from school I’d arrive.

I remember too the birds we used to
Frequently feed outside our window sill.
And I remember buying a tank of
Goldfishes that some girls at school did sell.

I recall going to the huge pet store
With my family in search of a pet,
How this bunny was so friendly… how we
Bought more fishes and fish food in the end.

I remember too how often my Dad
Would bring home a box of assorted cakes,
And those months when I was bulimic –as
A teen I went through that weird yet brief phase.

 Alhamdulillah, I no longer go
Through any teenage eating disorder –
One lesson from that is: don’t take pills that
Make you see a ‘fat’ you in the mirror.

And always know that God Allah will not
Judge you based on your outer appearance –
You’ll be asked about your intentions, your
Good deeds and if you stayed away from sins.

 MashaAllah –more memories include
Playing old PC and PlayStation games,
Like Need For Speed, Rollercoaster Tycoon,
Mortal Kombat, SIMS - back then was quite strange.

So AstaghfurAllah for all the sins
Done out of ignorance or out of pride,
May Allah forgive all of my mistakes –
May He the Most Forgiving forgive my sins,
The big and small –and too the ones I'd hide.
Ameen.

Alhamdulillah for all the good times,
Sweet memories from Allah the Most High.
May Allah make the highest level in
Heaven near Him the place where we abide.
 Ameen.

What did you realize when you recall
The good things that have happened in the past?
That some memories stay, friends come and leave,
Some stay, and that time’s flying way too fast?

How you can remember many things, you
Will be made to recall on Judgment Day –
If you were a good Muslim the good deeds
You did –if not, how you spent life astray…

Collect as many good deeds as you can
So that in Heaven you recall how you…
Tried to do only what is right while you
Were pleased to be among the guided few.

Continue showing your love for Allah, dear Muslim,
Through good deeds, best manners, du'as and faith that is true,
Thank Allah for Islam and your sweet memories though they may be few.
What goes around comes around. Your deeds return to you.

Wasalaam~
