POEM: Three Groups Of Muslimahs On Social Media | Which Team Do You Fit In?

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Three groups of Muslimahs I've noticed these days,
When it comes to social media and its likes:
The first consists of young ones who love the Net,
Posting pics and updates, almost day and night -

Spoiling their timelines with photos of self-love,
Flaunting their selfies often with their hair shown,
Competing with others who likewise show off,
Begging for users' likes to prove they're not lone -

Some of them sin through spreading lies and gossip,
Insults about someone - said indirectly,
Some neglect Salah, some forget their duties,
Some are ashamed to befriend their family.

They waste their time when what they do don't make sense -
In collecting sins while Allah watches them.
May Allah bless them with Islamic knowledge,
And guide them to what leads to Him and Heaven.
Ameen.

The second group is of sisters who log on
To learn Islam and share God's Message with all.
Even when online they maintain good manners.
When prayer time comes, they answer Allah's Call.

Their updates are of meaningful messages,
Free of falsehood and that which would invite hate -
Useful tips and reminders they love to share,
They encourage good deeds, almost night and day.

Backbiting and hurting others they avoid.
With world news some of them would keep up to date,
Not to join in debates, but to supplicate
For all Muslims worldwide, every night and day.

The third team is of sisters whose numbers may
Be few - they're careful of what they say and do.
They're a mix of introverts and extroverts,
Who believe social media has no value.

They protect themselves from lies and showing off,
Boasting and interfering with others' lives.
A few of them may own some passive accounts,
For Allah just to maintain family ties.

Their time is mostly spent reading on Islam,
Fasting Sunnah fasts, or reading the Qur'an,
Attending Islamic classes, assisting
Others in what is right whenever they can,

Praying more Sunnah and Nawafil prayers,
Thanking Allah for the guidance He gave them,
And for not taking part in people's drama -
They love Allah's Love, not His slaves' attention.

This is not a message to not go online -
This is but reminders to myself and you:
This is our purpose: to worship Allah and
Be with him in Heaven for being Muslims true.

Love what and whom Allah loves. Hate what He hates.
Take care of your acts both online and offline.
Stay quiet when silence is best - speak when right.
And know that Allah watches all - all the time.

POEM: By Allah's Mercy, On Earth He's My Only Husband

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

MashaAllah

Yes, by God's Will, he'll be my only spouse -
He's my husband - far or near, here or not.
To remarry - myself I won't allow.
I'm his gift from Allah, while he's my trust.

Many sweet memories I have of him,
Which only Allah knows about fully -
Me praying with him, him as Mu-adhin,
Teaching me how to cook and do laundry,

Our talks, his hugs, and dining together,
And his driving me in his various cars,
How from his trips he'd bring some souvenirs,
The many times he made me smile and laugh.

All those and countless others Allah knows.
Allah knows exactly why I love him.
Our love may not be pretentiously shown,
Though it's affirmed by Allah All-Knowing.

None can ever replace my husband's place -
One's first love is difficult to forget.
Should there be a replacement, it awaits
By God's Will in Heaven, where true joy rests.

SONNET: On Our Wedding Date

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

MashaAllah and Alhamdulillah
Married since 25th October 2006 Shawwal

Words of Love from a treasure to a trust -
From a righteous wife to her only man:
To remain loyal for me 'tis a must.
All that you do I choose to understand.

I don't need a ring to show we are wed.
Our God Allah witnessed our sweet wedding.
No pretentious ring.  I'll have you instead -
You're my spouse - I'm your wife: true and loving.

If for some reason, some assume you left,
With God's Mercy I'll find a way to you.
No new relations. To just you I'm wed.
I'm your treasure - among the special few.

Blest are men whose wives stay chaste and loyal,
Whose love lives hold many lessons royal.

"What makes the righteous Muslim wife different from other wives is her loyalty to her only spouse, her management of herself and his belongings, in how she understands him and for Allah's sake is always forgiving. She includes him in her du'as almost each night and day, willingly listens to each word he says, gives him advice, shows him the right way and helps him pray. She is thankful to Allah first and foremost, and is grateful to be married to her only husband in many ways. Allah Almighty knows best. "

POEM: Five Ways To Respond To The Jealous

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Quick advice to the youth regarding haters -
First off, we're here to please none but God Allah.
Our main goal is to be welcome in Heaven,
In Paradise near Him and RasulAllah.

Five ways to respond to some who show you hate:
One: Talk back in a fair way, or to advise.
Their foolishness and flaws help them recognize.
Answer though only if they are worth your time.

Two: Understand them. Bullies are bullied too.
Their misery they try to put on others,
So much so the only way they fake a smile
Is through their sins and having people bothered.

Three: Laugh likewise despite your laugh is secret.
Walk away from their silliness while knowing -
That Allah and His Angels are there for you,
And all their wrongs the Angels are recording.

Four: Thank them, even if done so secretly.
They proved that you're above them while they're below.
Through them you were free of your sins they gathered.
Through them, your worth and their envy became known.

Five: To God Allah sincerely supplicate.
You may pray that those who wronged will be guided.
You too have the freewill to pray against them.
The oppressed du'as are by God's Will answered.

When a group laughs at you, when some ridicule,
When one backbites or won't return your Salaam,
Know Allah will surely judge them. Just move on.
Their ignorance and jealousy - understand.

Wasalaam~

SONNET: Allah Is My Witness I'm My Husband's Loyal Wife

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

O' Allah Almighty be my Witness -
That I try to be my husband's true wife -
Through my du'as, loyalty and kindness,
And in being his mentor, light and guide.

Be my Witness, O' Allah Almighty,
That I strive to be his dutiful wife -
In helping him wake up to pray early.
And in frequently enjoining what's right.

You are my Witness, Allah All-Knowing,
If I lack in some field, I have allowed -
To have up to four wives - I have let him,
His smiles are my joys, his tears let me down.

Dear Allah, none can ever replace him -
But Your Gift that awaits me in Heaven.

POEM: True Words Of Love From Righteous Wife To Husband

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

MashaAllah and Alhamdulillah
Images.google.com

I, along with other righteous wives, say this -
A special poem to the husband we love:
"Dear Love, the only man I take as my spouse,
You're my trust, and I: a gift from God Above.

Since my first engagement to you I promised -
To be the loyal wife you've deeply longed for,
So since then, I stayed faithful for Allah's sake,
I'll stay loyal to my husband forever.

I love my husband no matter what some say -
I love my husband in both good and bad times -
I love him despite all his imperfections -
Love him, though we don't always meet day and night.

I'm his loyal wife, and that's more than alright.
I'm his shield, and his support when he needs me.
I'm his light when he needs to brighten his days.
His friend and mentor, whose help is always free.

I understand my man when he needs some space,
When he comes home from work tired in sweat and tears -
I understand his aloofness and strange ways,
His smiles, his laughter, his pretence, woes and fears.

I understand why at times he arrives late,
Why some messages he won't answer at all -
Why he may wed a second, third or fourth wife,
And why at times he seems to ignore my calls -

I understand he's human, and that's not all:
Due to some circumstances he's just obliged,
Or forced by some nosy outsiders to lie -
Know his acts are but ordered by jealous spies.

He's still my husband while I'm his loyal wife.
I'll always love him for Allah far or near.
For Allah's sake, I forgive him lovingly.
In our dreams, our love is proven - ever clear.

May Allah always bless my marriage to my
One and only spouse. Ameen. I love him so.
I pray that Allah showers him with Faith and
I'm the last he sees before to God he goes.
Ameen."

POEM: Three Types Of Haters .:. The Wrongdoer, The Jealous, The Ignorant

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Loving and hating for Allah's sake

There are three types of foes besides the devil -
Three kinds of enemies whom we should avoid:
First are haters who hate you for your Islam,
They're different from you, as they're shaytan's toys.

They adorn themselves with lies, while you stay true.
While they're guilty of sins, you avoid what's wrong.
Good deeds that you do leave them in resentment,
They loathe your morals and how your faith is strong.

With your differences, good and bad don't mix.
As they despise, you hate them for Allah's sake:
They are liars and thieves, most untrustworthy,
Nosy, blameworthy donkeys each night and day.

Number two are those who hate out of envy:
Beneath you, they want your status like theirs - low.
Of your merits and achievements they're jealous,
So their rudeness and worst traits they strangely show.

Good qualities you have they try to take by
Being unfriendly fools due to jealousy.
Just thank them sincerely, for they let you know -
You're above them in faith and nobility.

Third types of haters are the ignorant ones,
Who put on an act, to follow shaytan's lies -
To understand what is right they often fail -
They're but misguided, as they're puppets of spies.

Because most of them are fake, be fake likewise.
Shun being close to them - they're not worth your time.
Trust Allah. Know what goes around comes around.
If some of them may listen, advise and guide.

Should many hate you because they are sinners,
Know that you're not here to please them but Allah.
It's their loss as they miss out on your friendship,
Special bond with Allah and RasulAllah.

The Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam
Had enemies too who told lies about him,
Who called him names he was not, while it's proven
He is the most noble of all human beings.

So don't mind how many "friends" you have online,
Or if you have no real buddies to talk to.
So long as you're Muslim, Allah stays near you.
Allah is your Friend, Who knows everything about you.

Belie shaytan when he lies, "you look lonely."
Don't bother befriending hypocrites and fakes.
Move away from their lies. Remain with Allah.
Be with the righteous few on Allah's Straight Way.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive all our mistakes, accept all our good deeds, answer all our good du'as and reunite us with our Muslim loved ones in Jannatul Firdaus near Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

SONNET: To Be His Righteous Loyal Wife

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

MashaAllah and Alhamdulillah
مريم و نميري

To be the righteous wife whom he desires -
Is to first love your spouse for Allah's sake,
To be there for your man each day and night,
In your du'as you include him always.

To be his loyal wife whom he adores -
Is to dream of him only, and know him,
Smile at his joys, avoid what he abhors,
Give him space, be sweet and understanding.

Obey Allah and guide your spouse to Him.
Be far above vile ethics and envy.
You're your husband's treasure - truly loving.
As he's your trust, you grant him loyalty.

It's a noble gift from Allah Most Kind,
To be your husband's righteous loyal wife.

"Whoever loves for Allah and hates those whom Allah hates for Allah's sake has inshaAllah completed his faith/Imaan. Allah knows best."

It could be that a Muslim wife's faith and patience with her husband is one of the reasons for her entry to Jannah/Paradise by Allah's Mercy. Include all Muslim brothers and sisters in your good du'as :)

POEM: Allah Knows Best All That Takes Place By His Will.

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

It was narrated that Allah's Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Steadfastly pursue what benefits you, seek help only from Allah, and do not give up.
If something befalls you, do not say, ‘If only I had done otherwise,’
but rather say, ‘Allah’s Will be done,’ for
‘if only’ opens the door to satan’s mischief. (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Few things that could have been, but did not take place -
Maybe they were meant to be, but they passed by.
Life's a maze, with ways to find, choices to make,
Puzzles to solve, gems to gain, and gifts disguised.

What if with my ex-best friend I stayed in touch?
What if we spoke a lot, as we did back then?
Perhaps there'd be some sins we'd be guilty of,
Like sharing tales not to share with nosy men.

What if I accepted one man's proposal,
And lived with his family in Pakistan?
The previous suitor too may have been useful -
Imagine us in Madina's noble lands.

What if I spoke Filipino fluently,
And what if English was not my first language?
...If we signed up for citizenship Saudi,
If I went to uni, not online college?

What if I slept beside my Mom 'fore she died,
And went out much sooner to visit my Dad?
Dear God unite me with them in Paradise,
Though there were no goodbyes, that was not our last.
Ameen.

What if Dad recovered and married again?
Only Allah knows how much Dad missed dear Mom.
It may be that a stepmom invites problems,
So Allah took dear Dad after a few months.

What if I chose not to teach but lived with him,
If I followed my spouse wherever he went?
If together we could always do good things,
Like him teaching me how not to overspend.

SubhanAllah how many lessons I've learned,
From the faults I made, and those of some people.
To their doers good and bad acts may return.
Sins too can be erased when you're regretful.

What if we were more quiet than talkative,
And if we had to speak, we spoke with wise words,
If of our deeds we were more contemplative,
Thus before anything, think of Allah first.

When Allah gives you talent, use it for good.
When Allah gifts others, be happy for them.
When things don't go right, know you did what you could.
Your tears for Allah too may lead to Heaven.

When some sin against you, they but wrong themselves -
On Judgment Day, they'll see what they used to do.
There are myriad ways that Allah loves and helps.
Only Allah knows well what is best for you.

May Allah the Most Merciful accept all our good deeds, forgive all our sins and reunite us with our Muslim loved ones in Jannatul Firdaus near Him Allah and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

SONNET: For Allah's Sake She Stays Loyal To Her Spouse

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

MashaAllah

Note her loyalty - so grand and regal,
So true, yet to some - unbelievable -
Despite her spouse's flaws that make her dismal,
She's still his first wife - faithfully loyal.

Her dreams are where she more often meets him,
His absence never stops her from loving,
Of his tears and woes she's understanding,
And of his faults, she's always forgiving.

Though he seldom speaks, his wife understands -
Her gaze is for him, not at any man.
His misdeeds, she knows, may be acts enforced,
Thus, she stays with him and trusts Allah's Plan.

"Divorce": a fantasy of the jealous -
On Judgment Day, all truths will come obvious.

POEM: Du'a/Supplication On Yawm 'Arafa

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

It's been two weeks since our dear Abu's passing,
Not even a year since dear Ome's death too -
I type these words while on this day we're fasting,
On Yawm 'Arafa - when all du'as come true:

May Allah have Mercy on both my parents,
Who took care of me and tried their very best -
Writers of Islamic books and lecturers,
Who shared Islam with others - faith of the blessed.
[Ameen.]

May Allah the Most Forgiving forgive me,
Forgive all my sins which I have committed,
May Allah pardon all my mistakes and flaws,
And good acts I may have procrastinated.
[Ameen.]

May Allah the Most Wise, like He has shown me
That Only He Allah is to be trusted,
Teach me His Wisdom behind all things even
Through some dreams, or people's lessons undoubted.
[Ameen.]

May Allah the Most Loving accept all my
Good deeds and make my tears also intercede
On Judgment Day - and May I meet Allah while
Doing what He loves and He is with me pleased.
[Ameen.]

May Allah the Most Just and the All-Knowing
Answer our du'as against those who oppressed,
Who stole from us, lied to us or laughed at us -
We have nothing to do with their lies and mess.
[Ameen.]

May Allah the Most Merciful reunite
Me with my beloved parents in Heaven -
Along with all our Muslim loved ones and friends,
May Allah make Firdaus where we meet again.
[Ameen.]

May Allah make our being Muslim the main
Reason for our being welcome in Jannah,
Even if we may lag in doing Da'wah
As long as we stick to the Prophet's Sunnah.
[Ameen.]

AstaghfurAllah Al-'Atheem everyday,
AstaghfurAllah Al-'Atheem for all sins,
AstaghfurAllah Al-'Atheem day and night,
Always think of Allah until you meet Him.

SubhanAllah as I remember the smiles
Of my dear mother and father when they died,
Knowing that they're with Allah, I smile likewise,
And pray that we'll meet again in Paradise.

Now I worry of my husband dear Noma,
The only man whom I can take as my spouse -
With some of what he does, how will his state be?
What words will be about him spreading around?

I love him for Allah's sake. Allah knows best.
On Yawm 'Arafa I pray for my spouse too,
For all Muslims whom I love just for Allah,
May our du'as by Allah's Mercy come true.

On Judgment Day all secrets will be revealed,
As for those few du'as that were unanswered
On that Day they may become your friends or shield.
Thus, say your du'as, for God's Rewards are real.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive all our mistakes, accept all our good deeds, answer all our du'as and reunite us with our Muslim loved ones in Jannatul Firdaus near Him Allah and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen. www.wisdom.edu.ph

POEM: InshaAllah We Look Forward To Meeting Our Parents In Heaven

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

INNA LILLAAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAAJI'OON.
To Allah we belong and to Him we return.

Full orphans in our twenties by Allah’s Will -
Our dear Mom passed away on Yawm ‘Ashooraa,
After just a few months dear Dad followed her,
He died too as a Shahid in Dhul-Qi’daa.

Both were very studious as children and teens,
In their adult years they did their best as well.
As parents they did a remarkable job,
Were pretty strict but had fun stories to tell -

I thank our mother for the great meals she cooked,
I too thank our dad for the food he would buy,
I thank our mom for preparing us for school,
Our dad for the money he gave and car drives.

There are many things we’re grateful to them for -
Listing them would take a large amount of time.
Alhamdulillah, though they left earth too soon,
We have learned a lot from them before they died.

First, to share are some good deeds they used to do -
Not to brag – just to follow their noble ways:
Regularly they sought Islamic knowledge,
Researched about Islam almost every day,

Each week, or when they had a chance, they’d attend
Islamic gatherings/classes in Saudi -
They’d learn about Islam, Arabic, Qur’an -
Did Da’wah to various nationalities.

Traveling worldwide was Dad’s job benefit,
Our travels were but means to thank Allah more.
To prove that they were thankful, they taught Islam,
Gave charity, and treated well all neighbors.

They brought us up well to be better Muslims,
Who at an early age learned to pray on time,
To not make fun of others, and never steal,
To behave, and about Islam teach and write.

We could have lived a very material life -
With our Dad working at a big company,
With opportunities to travel worldwide,
Go out shopping and dining each day and night -

But due to their love of Allah and mercy,
To move to the Philippines our parents chose,
To make use of the money which Allah gave
In sharing Islam and teaching what they know.

So they built a Masjid and Islamic school,
As a charity and Waqf for Allah’s sake -
Reliable Muslims may share the reward
Through volunteering or their will to donate.

It’s Amaana / a trust, purely for Allah,
A place where you can learn about true Islam -
We’ve no intentions to cause harm nor show off,
With mercy, we’re here to help you understand

That Islam means peaceful submission to God,
Allah the Great, the One Creator of all.
To be true Muslims is to worship Allah,
To have good manners and answer Allah’s Call.

Quick lessons from our beloved parents’ lives:
With Allah’s Will hard work can lead to success.
Also too much of something is never good,
Never be extreme, once in a while take rests.

Pray Tahajjud, as our Mom and Dad did too,
Recite Surah Al-Kahaf every Friday,
Say your good du’as – though not all are answered,
One small good deed can save you on Judgment Day.

Some advice from our parents which I recall:
Have Faith and good manners wherever you are,
Be humble, be modest, don’t brag nor envy,
Learn to listen, care for loved ones near and far,

Share what you can share, and stick to each other,
Stick to the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah.
Wherever we are, Allah is always there,
Various routes but one destination: Jannah.

It’s Friday now, so Muslims say your du’as,
Pray for our parents too, please forgive their faults,
Forgive each other, and our debts if we have,
May Allah the Most Kind forgive all our wrongs.
Ameen.

Since our parents are no longer on FB,
I’ve decided to stop checking this website
To inshaAllah fulfill our parents’ wish,
To memorize Qur’an or give it a try.

If a Muslim in her eighties could do it,
If so many managed to learn Allah’s Word,
InshaAllah if eager you can do it,
To learn the Qur’an you’re not too young nor old.

May Allah make our tears and good deeds speak for
Us on Judgment Day by His utmost Mercy,
May He reunite us in Firdaus/Heaven
And May we meet Him while He is with us pleased.
Ameen.

Wasalaam,
Mariam M.

POEM: Old Poem - Why My Spouse And I Don't Use FaceBook

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

When asked why I no longer have an account
On facebook dot com, this is what I would say:
No strange facebook addiction would mean no stress
Checking on negative posts each night and day,

No looking at photos which I should not view,
Pics of meetups where I was uninvited,
Of people showcasing what they want to show,
Who with themselves are so infatuated.

No passing by someone you dislike online,
No comments that may offend or cause debate,
No comparing oneself with someone's fake state,
No fishing for 'likes', no excuse to pray late.

Now the main reason why I'm not on facebook
And God knows best - is to prove my loyalty -
Loyalty to my one and only husband,
Who has not one facebook account, just like me -

As his true wife Alhamdulillah, I would
Never form relations with a non-Mahram -
I've no connections with other men but he -
In real life and in dreams: my one and only husband.

SONNET: Forgive For Allah's Sake

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Wouldn't you like that Allah forgives you and Allah is
the Most Forgiving the Most Merciful.

To all those who read this, Muslims, forgive,
And to those who don’t read this, forgive too,
If I ever made your lives hard to live,
Forgive me for the wrongs I did to you.

So I am sorry if from you I took

Anything which I thought belonged to me,
Like a piece of clothing, a pen or book,
Forgive my flaws and my being clumsy,

And to those whom I owe any money…

If I could not pay you back, forgive still,
For the mistakes I’ve done, I am sorry,
With blessings may your days always be filled.

May Allah forgive me and those I’ve wronged,

And make Heaven the place where we’ll belong.
Ameen.

Wasalaam~
Mariam M.

It was narrated that Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
“Whoever has wronged his brother (or sister in Islam) with regard to his honour or something (example: by telling lies, ridiculing or stealing from him knowingly or unintentionally), let him ask him for forgiveness before the time (Judgment Day) when there will be neither dinar nor dirham (to pay for one's wrongs), and if he has any good deeds it will be taken from him in proportion to the wrong he did, and if he does not have any good deeds, some of the other person's evil deeds will be taken and given to his account.”

POEM: My Travel Is Only To Allah

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

An old poem I found
from my beloved father's laptop (May Allah the Almighty have mercy on both my loving parents and may Allah the Most Merciful reunite me and my loved ones with them in Firdaus/Heaven near Allah and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam by Allah's Mercy. Ameen.)
I believe this poem was written on Friday February 28, 2014
Today I talked to Allah this Friday morn,
Today I spoke to God, said my good du’as,
By God’s Will and Mercy, this is His response,
After reading the great Surat Al-Kahaf.

I write these lines –about one eighty of them,
Each line containing eleven syllables,
About the sweet memories that I still have
Of countries I’ve been to and places travelled.

First, I was born in Saudi, MashaAllah -
Saudi Arabia –the best country on earth.
I’ve performed Hajj many times, MashaAllah -
I’ve tons of memories here of joy and mirth.

In Riyadh, I have studied at many schools,
Have gone through many kinds of experiences,
Have met nice people from different countries,
Got along well despite our differences,

Joined in some public radio and T.V. shows,
Was in school clubs where I’d learn to speak on stage,
At school I was known for my creative skills
And for being among those who got high grades.

More sweet memories Allah wants me to write:
The funny looks I exchanged with my classmates
Of various colors, from colorful countries -
And with them the many games I used to play.

My Saudi friends complimenting my writing,
My British pal naming me ‘Bubblegum Girl’,
My teachers commending me on my artwork,
And soccer buddies scared when I’d have the ball -

The beautiful views of the Ka’bah far-off,
The wondrous moments of performing ‘Umrah,
The many lessons learned when performing Hajj -
Are among sweet memories MashaAllah!

Now quick mentions of more countries I’ve been to:
I remember Dad driving us, with his car,
On a group journey, with many ‘Pinoy friends’,
To Kuwait/Bahrain, exploring some tower.

I recall the times we’d wait at some airports,
In countries like Bangladesh, Greece and Oman,
And in the country where many look alike,
Where my Dad can blend in well –in cool Japan.

I remember the clowns who gave us balloons,
At some aquatic park, Sea World, in Hong Kong,
In the aquarium various creatures we’ve seen,
The tricks the whales and dolphins did without wrongs.

In Langkawi too I recall the visit
We paid to a park called ‘Underwater World’,
More sea creatures we’ve seen there, facts about them,
And cool aquatic stuff that were being sold.

In the capital city of Malaysia,
I recall the times we’ve been to the towers,
The visits to various parks, like Genting Park,
And the funny monkeys chasing my brothers.

And that time I took classes at a uni.
Where my Mother was invited to lecture,
How I got to know many Asian Muslims,
Meeting one of them in Makkah thereafter.

More memories on our trips to Malaysia:
Visiting one of the sultans’ huge palace,
The zoo, the bird park, and butterfly gardens,
And the pools where my loved ones loved to relax.

Now moving on to Singapore, I recall:
The visits to the zoo and night safari,
Various shopping malls, restaurants and hotels,
And Sentosa Island –with my family.

In Indonesia I recall our visit
To a Muslim School –I think we’ve been there twice,
I recall my brothers playing soccer there -
And how sitting with the V.I.P.’s was… nice.

At the masjid there, I recall admiring
How the students would get up early to pray
And then memorize Surahs from the Qur’an -
And how this school was unique in many ways.

Anyway, now moving on to Thailand, I
Recall visiting some kind of museum,
I recall how Thai Airways was so comfy,
How I liked their outfits and decorations.

More countries I’ve been to include Qatar… but
We’ve only stayed at the airport, honestly,
So another country I can mention is
One that is also near Saudi: U.A.E.

There we’ve been to Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
We went to a park, many photos we took,
Many malls we’ve been to, restaurants as well,
And at many interesting things we’ve looked.

I recall my parents meeting two friends there,
Who helped us go sight-seeing in the city,
We ate at a cool Japanese restaurant,
And then at a Mid-Eastern one, I believe.

Another place where my parents met two friends
Is in the busy, cool city of London.
With them we had a walk at a well-known park,
And dined with them at an Indian restaurant,

Where ‘tis funny how I still recall a teen’s
Grimace after eating a dish so spicy -
The walks we had around the wax museum,
And how I thought the cab ride was so nifty.

After that, we had some snacks –twin ice-cream cones,
With Time Out or Flakes chocolate at the top -
I recall more museums we’ve been to, there,
And waiting at the double-decker bus stops.

A bit near England is France –we’ve been there too,
There, in Paris, we have been to Disneyland -
We’ve also been to the one in the U.S.
Where English lang. we were glad to understand.

In the U.S. we’ve visited many parks,
Among them Knott's Berry Farm, Walt Disney World,
J.K. Space Center, Universal Studios,
And other places forgotten to be told.

I do recall that time in Mississippi,
Where we rode a boat, went to an aquarium,
And that time we went to strange Mardi Gras World -
Where we saw many masks and parade customs.

Another place where we toured more museums
And towers is Egypt, where we saw ‘Fir’awn’ -
We’ve seen the pyramids and the so-called ‘Sphinx’,
Have seen many views in that Egyptian town -

I recall going up the Cairo Tower,
And the many times my bros would buy a ball -
Many balls they’d purchase and many they’d lose -
Many sweet memories I can still recall…

Like that ‘almost-one-month-vacation’ abroad
In a milk-producing country called Denmark,
We’ve stayed at the house of my Dad’s friend –‘tis strange
How I still recall his name: ‘Eric Emborg’.

I recall the times we rode on those buses
To malls and stores we would go for grocery -
Exchanging smiles with an Arab family
And the fun times we’ve had at Park Tivoli.

Many memories I have of our travels,
And fortunately, they’re too many to list -
I can gladly say that one’s joys in life could
Be among the many kinds of Allah’s tests.

So my answers to God’s tests are in these lines:
Alhamdulillah, Praise is for God alone,
I thank Allah for the good He’s given me,
I pray God makes Heaven my Eternal Home,

Near Him Allah and His Beloved Prophets,
I pray that by Allah’s Mercy I’m near Him -
For the tears I’ve shed for Allah’s sake, for my
Du’as –begging God to forgive all my sins.

My next answer is some advice to Muslims,
Dear Muslims who bow down to Allah only,
‘Tis foolish to look at the lives of others
Who foolishly care about sin and money.

When it comes to worldly things, see those below…
Look at those who can’t afford the things you have.
Look at those who can’t do the good things you do -
Pray for those who know not what ‘tis like to laugh.

When it comes to faith, look at those near Allah,
Strive to reach their level or do much better,
They’ve memorized the Qur’an, prayed many times,
Their goal is to succeed in the Hereafter.

When non-Muslim ‘friends’ come to you to show off
Their temporal pleasures and sad so-called ‘joys’,
Pity their low self-esteem, high ignorance,
If they don’t turn to God, in Hell they’ll enjoy…

They will enjoy regretting how they were lost
In their misguidance and in their daily sins,
They’ll enjoy attaining the sins of Muslims
While the Muslims enjoy God’s gifts in Heaven.

And my next answer to Allah’s tests is this:
Do not think that traveling in life is grand,
Don’t think that if Allah gave others a chance
To travel, Allah’s Love you misunderstand.

Allah gave things to some people as a test,
And prevented things from some –as a test too.
Good times and bad times are among Allah’s tests,
To see if your Faith/Iman is indeed True,

So that those who mistreat you collect your sins,
And if they’re Muslims, you collect their good deeds -
This is why all acts of oppression must be
Shunned, while in God Allah, we Muslims believe.

And did you know, dear Muslims, that all of us
Are travelers in this grand journey called ‘Life’?
To reach the wanted destination, Heaven,
Pack the right things, shun bad deeds that bring forth strife.

So Allahu Akbar wherever we are,
Our goal is to travel to Heaven only,
To be near God Allah, be amongst His friends,
Heaven by God’s Mercy is our destiny.

Wasalaam~
