POEM: The True Friend, The Enemy, The Frenemy And Solitude

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Three kinds of relations form after knowing someone:
You either make a 'friend' who becomes a frenemy,
Or a foe who hates you honestly and outwardly,
Or a true friend who shares your goals, likes and qualities.

The frenemies: known for being genuinely fake -
Are those who spend time with you with a hidden motive -
They're mostly made of lies. They give off negative vibes.
For your welfare, for Allah's sake they're best avoided.

The enemies: these haters loathe you for who you are -
For doing the good deeds you do, for enjoining right,
For your faith and gains, as they resent you day and night.
With Allah's Will, their wrongs will meet them at the best time.

The true friends: their numbers are few, for they are unique -
They love you for Allah and insist you be with them.
Their discussions are on Islam and self-improvement.
You always help each other find God's Way to Heaven.

If real friends are hard to find, remember, "There's Allah."
Embrace solitude and know, "Allah always hears you."
No praising the unworthy nor playing with untruth.
True friendship is with Allah, Who's always been with you.

SONNET: The Romantic Muslim Wife's Love Is Always For Allah's Sake

In the Name of Allah
the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

To my only spouse, wherever you are,
My husband whom I oft meet in my dreams -
You're always near me, though your place is far,
You're the only guy on whom I am keen.

Allah the Almighty knows what goes on -
God knows the plots of those who envy us,
And how my loyalty stays true and strong.
In Allah and His Will, always put Trust.

To some, you may be just an empty page -
While you're my note of love and memories.
Forever I love you, for Allah's sake,
Though you may be wed to two, four or three.

While my whispers may not reach you, God knows -
My love is with you wherever I go.

POEM: Allah Is The Only Judge In This World And On Judgment Day

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

When you are fat, some think you have no control -
To others, you must be rich, food you can buy.
When you eat little, some insist you eat more -
Eat much - your greed, to others can't be denied.

When you smile a lot, fools may think you're just fake -
Yet when you frown, the same fools want you to smile.
Joke a lot, and some may think you're in fact sad -
Even more sad if you're serious all the time.

When you talk too much, you're being annoying.
Say nothing - and you anger some, just as much.
To look at someone as you speak is respect -
Yet to others, it's not good to stare or watch.

So as you look down, some assume you are shy -
To others, you're either rude or respectful.
Talking fast shows you're 'smart', to others 'nervous' -
Speaking slow - 'confident', to others 'doubtful'.

Nice words to people shows you care about them -
Yet to fools, compliments hide inside envy.
When you shop a lot, you're 'materialistic',
To others, you're caring for your family.

When your desk is clean, you're organized and neat -
To others, you probably don't work enough.
The sweeter you are, the more you like them - yet
To some folks, 'the more you hate, the more you love.'

From silly psychologists whose views differ -
When one tends to sleep a lot, it means he's sad.
For some, 'insomniacs are the ones depressed' -
What if both have thoughts or dreams that make them glad.

Notes to share: Alhamdulillah we're Muslims.
The ignorant think they can judge as they like,
To hide their obvious lack of wisdom, and prove
Their stupendous strangeness they won't realize.

Not here to please anyone and everyone,
We're here to please only Allah, the True God.
Each one is entitled to his point of view,
Some opinions are right - others, full of fraud.

POEM: Many Good Deeds You Can InshaAllah Do In Ramadan

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Allahu Akbar time these days flies quickly.
Sha'ban has come, one month before Ramadan -
Ramadan: the noble month in which we fast,
And in which was revealed the Noble Qur'an.

To get ready for fasting in Ramadan,
Fast some Sunnah fasts in Sha'ban, for Allah.
Nine good deeds I'll share now in this poem, which
You can do in Ramadan inshaAllah:

One: Besides fasting, pray Taraweeh at night -
For men to pray at the masjid it's a must.
While it's best for sisters to pray at home, they
May join the group - without causing any fuss.

Two: During Ramadan, after each salah,
Read pages from the Qur'an for Allah's sake.
Knowing that each harf gives you ten hasanaat -
More good can benefit you on Judgment Day.

Three: Whether you've been wronged or miss someone close,
Whatever you need, ask Allah by all means.
Say more du'as, including all Muslims, while
Believing that Allah always sees and hears.

Four: If you are able, travel for Allah,
And perform 'Umrah while fasting or at night -
Five: Learn more about Islam, share your knowledge,
Understand the Qur'an and enjoin what's right.

Six: In Ramadan be extra generous -
Be willing to give what you have so much of.
More sadaqah and zakah in this month. And
If you don't have much, share joys and smiles with love.

Seven: Do more good deeds voluntarily,
Like praying Sunnah Duhaa before Dhuhr,
Exchanging salaams with Muslims, spending more
Time with Allah through du'as and lots of Dhikr.

Eight: Strive to quit bad habits such as smoking,
Listening to music, mentioning bad words -
Sisters spreading lies against each other, and
Brothers unnecessarily chatting with girls.

Nine: Avoid oversleeping in the daytime,
Praying late or wasting time on playing games.
Minimize your Internet usage. In this
Month - also excel at lowering your gaze.

Practice silence. Choose your words and companions.
Avoid those who mock and talk about others.
It's better to have Allah as your True Friend
Than befriend fakes who'll get you into trouble.

For sisters who still have some fasts to make up,
Complete your fasts before Ramadan arrives.
Extravagant shopping for food - and cooking
Should not serve as distractions for Muslim wives.

Ramadan - a chance to renew our Imaan,
A time when good deeds to Allah are more dear,
When du'as are even more heard and answered -
A special guest that visits us once a year.

May Allah the Most Merciful accept all our good deeds and our fasting, May Allah the Most Forgiving forgive all our sins, and May Allah the Almighty join us with His righteous friends in Firdaus/Heaven near Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

POEM: The Secrets Of Dreams

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

There are three types of dreams every Muslim has -
First are good dreams, which only come from Allah,
Among the best of this kind are dreams in which
You get to see Muhammad RasulAllah
(SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).

These dreams are so special you can't forget them.
Dreams you remember may carry great meanings.
They could be messages from Allah or signs,
Promises of good, or important warnings.

What one may see in such type of dreams: meeting
With friends not yet met, climbing or ascending,
Flying gracefully, entering gold mansions -
Whose floors glow beside gates as high as mountains.

Good or Prophetic dreams like these should never
Be shared with anyone, except your closest.
Only your parents - free from envy - may know
What dreams you've had. Learn from the Prophet Joseph.

Second category of dreams are those you
Dream because of your thoughts or your current mood.
These often forgotten dreams are influenced
By noise you hear or something you wish to do.

Example: When you're in need of using the
Toilet, you dream of visiting a bathroom.
If you're someone who loves learning, sometimes your
Dreams are of schools, or take place in a classroom.

If you ask, "What's the difference between these
Dreams and good dreams?" The latter you remember.
Plain dreams you often forget when awake, while
Your good dreams you know well, even days later.

Third type of dreams are nightmares - scenes from satan,
Who celebrates when you show your fear of him.
Bad dreams must never be told to anyone -
Since they are lies, they should not be believed in.

Seek refuge with Allah from satan upon
Waking up from a bad dream that you dislike.
Before sleeping, recite from the Qur'an, try
To sleep with ablution, and keep to your right.

Again, three kinds of dreams: First - Dreams from Allah,
Messages from Allah, glad tidings or signs.
Second - Dreams from one's self, which one may forget.
Third - Bad dreams from satan, which are nought but lies.

Your dreams are like your secrets - not to be shared -
Except with those you trust, who lack jealousy.
Beautiful dreams you still remember may be
Maps to treasures, coming from Allah's Mercy.

Allah the Almighty knows best.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive us always,
accept all our good deeds and join us with His loved ones in Firdaus/Heaven
near Him and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

POEM: Avoid An-Nifaaq / Hypocrisy

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him,
Told us about hypocrites and their three signs:
First: these hypocrites whom Allah hates have false
Exteriors, foul motives, and are full of lies.

They are actors or liars behind a mask,
Almost everything about them are untrue -
Their names are fake -their acts full of pretense, and
Lying is their hobby that they love to do.

Second: promises they make they'll never keep,
Form an agreement with them -they'll turn it down,
It's their habit to cancel plans without an
Explanation but smiles on seeing you frown.

Third: when entrusted, they'll be glad to betray.
They are deceivers and pure fakes -fools are they
To think they can make Muslims look bad without
Being asked about their deeds on Judgment Day.

Hypocrites don't have the following good traits:
Truthfulness, noble manners, never unfair,
Enjoining what's right, tears that prove they're sincere,
Praying on time, and sweet willingness to share.

Examples of these fakes are atheists who
Set up a channel and load videos of sins,
Misleading Muslims to dress immodestly,
Act immorally or lie like it's nothing -

Other hypocrites commit what's forbidden,
Disobeying God in mistreating others -
To make some think Islam is wrong, when we are
Taught to be just and kind to one another.

This is why Allah warns hypocrites of Hell -
They are liars, pretenders and deceivers -
Guilty of many evil deeds, including
Their constant plotting against true believers.

How to deal with them: pray to God against them -
Or pray that Allah guides them to true Islam.
Avoid getting close to them, keep a distance,
Don't trust them, and don't take part in their vile plans.

With them be well-mannered just as with others -
Stay friendly in general, but not too close.
Take note: Allah sees all. Judgment Day is true.
Who are Allah's true friends - only Allah knows.

May Allah welcome us in Firdaus/Heaven,
May Allah accept all the good deeds we do,
And may Allah reward us with His Mercy
For hating falsehood and for loving the truth.
Ameen.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive us always,
accept all our good deeds and join us with His loved ones in Firdaus/Heaven
near Him and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

POEM: Don't Envy Anyone For What God Allah Gave Them

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Remember that time when you've made a du'a
To ask Allah for something you want or need,
After some time you notice that someone else
Got what you asked for, which you hoped you'd achieve?

Allah can do what He wills as He is God,
Who grants His gifts to whom He wills -with wisdom.
And when Allah gives good things to someone, it
May be due to some good deeds which they have done.

Imagine a parent of some boys and girls -
When giving gifts, he'll give them what they deserve,
What they like based on their personalities,
What they need, or presents from which they can learn.

Don't get jealous of a Muslim's qualities,
Talents, experiences or good things they've made.
Jealousy is a bad trait of vain satan -
And that Muslim is your bro or sis in Faith.

Perhaps those Muslims you admire are being
Checked by Allah to see if they'll be grateful -
Or it could be that the blessings God gave them
Are means to Heaven or for others useful.

Three signs of jealous foes: they don't believe you -
Or loath the truth. Next, you they choose to ignore.
Third, they love to hate, and may hate supporting -
Or they'll bully to feel a bit superior.

Say no to jealousy; know that you're too good
To attain a bad trait that satan so loves.
And why would Muslims envy unbelievers
Who foolishly don't know "Allah is Above".

Islam is peace and mercy from Allah the Most Merciful :)
May Allah the Most Merciful accept all our good deeds,
forgive all our mistakes and join us with His righteous friends
in Firdaus/Heaven near Him and His noble Messenger Muhammad sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
Ameen.

POEM: Be Whom God Allah Wants You To Be

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Just because a person has many friends or
Millions of fans does not mean that God likes them.
These celebs or wannabe celebrities
May be guilty of disbelief and/or sins.

Just because a Muslim has a few friends or
Many haters who loathe them out of envy,
Does not mean Allah hates them. Allah loves them
For the good deeds they do for His sake only.

Don't think that fame is a sign Allah loves you.
Don't think all famous people never get sad.
Know that Allah's Prophets had enemies too,
And good things can't really be mixed with what's bad.

There's no one on earth whom everybody loves.
Everyone has their own set of friends and foes.
Be whom God, not what His slaves, wants you to be.
Be the Muslim Allah loves and always knows.

Don't worry if you don't get along with some,
As long as you're whom Allah wants you to be.
The world doesn't revolve around us. Our goal
Is to be loved by Allah Who always sees.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive us always, accept all our good deeds and join us with His righteous friends in Firdaus/Heaven near Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

POEM: [Allah the Almighty Knows Best] Why We Wear Niqab

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Merciful

To my niqaabi sisters around the world:
When asked 'why wear niqaab?' say, 'Just for Allah',
We dress modestly to obey Allah and
Follow the noble wives of RasulAllah.

We wear the niqaab so when you speak to us -
We're not known for our looks but for what we say,
Liked for who we are, not for a pretty face,
And by make-up and fashion we're not enslaved.

We don't dress to please fellow servants of God,
We're not forced to waste time and wealth on fashion,
We don't walk around to bring forth temptation -
To obey God Allah is our intention.

When asked 'how can we identify who's who?'
Say, 'You'll know who I am through my voice you hear,
Through my speech and personality, and my
Finger prints if you insist things should be cleared.'

'What if the one behind the veil is a man?'
A true Muslim would never do such a thing.
Muslims are enjoined to do only what's right,
To have good manners, while shunning lies and sins.

How to find a wife if all are niqaabis:
Through his female mahrams who can recommend,
Or by meeting the woman's guardians, being
Allowed to look at her with sincere intent.

When some mock the niqaab or call us 'ninjas',
We see their ignorance and to them we say:
We're not here to impress you. We love Allah.
God is our Judge, the Master of Judgment Day.

Include all Muslims in your good du'as :) May Allah the Most Merciful accept all our good deeds, forgive us always, and join us with His righteous friends in Firdaus/Heaven near Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad sallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

SONNET: From Allah You Can't Hide What You Do Online And In Real Life

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Some things that some teens do online are sins -
Sins which they should stop if they love Allah.
Examples of them are the following:
Choosing to delay or forget salah,

Watching porn while praying no one's watching,
Playing games excessively while cussing,
Insulting random folks, simply trolling,
And spreading lies thinking they're just nothing.

Don't decline friend requests from Mom or Dad,
Or change settings to hide from some you know,
When you wish to hide acts that may be bad,
They may be sins -not to be done or shown.

Do what you wish when you've no guilt nor shame,
And know you'll face your deeds on Judgment Day.

"From Allah the All-Seeing you can't hide what you do online and in real life, even if you: rejected the friend request of someone who loves enjoining what is right, changed some privacy settings or used the Internet really late at night. Nothing is hidden from Allah the Almighty, the Most Wise."

POEM: Three Types Of Acquaintances You Meet In Life

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Three groups of acquaintances you meet in life:
First are people sent, by Allah's Will, as gifts -
Who either give you good or who take your sins,
Who give you smiles or reminders that uplift -

Reminders from God that say 'you're not alone',
Look at those below you in terms of this world,
See what simple things make them smile, and do know -
Everyone has exams and stories untold.

Second are those folks who come to you to teach,
Teach you lessons which Allah wants you to learn -
Lessons learned the hard way or easy way, so
When you meet another, to teach it's your turn.

Learn from their past, present and their achievements,
Learn from their mistakes as they too learn from you,
Understanding Allah's Wisdom in all things,
And how "What goes around comes around" is true.

Third team of acquaintances who choose to stay -
Instead of disconnect offline and online -
Is a group of people who turn into friends,
Who like you sincerely or whom you admire -

These are potential friends who love you for God,
And although at times with some of them you've fought,
You forgive each other again and again,
Include one another in your good du'as.

As for those who in the past God let you meet,
Who don't wish to stay - just gave you memories -
Thoughts, which when you think about, cause you to smile -
Or learn from some people's insecurities.

Don't worry about those haters who dislike,
Who judge you and loathe you for how God made you.
Don't fret about those who refuse your friendship.
What matters is you're Muslim and God loves you.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive me
And guide all those whom I may have wronged to Him.
Ameen. May Allah the Most Just accept us
As His friends and reunite us in Heaven.
Ameen.
