POEM: Allah Is With You. You're Not Alone.

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

A tribute for Allah's sake to my fellow lone wolves,
Sweet shoutout to remind these packs they are not alone,
Let them know they're 'independent', not lost, confused souls,
Inform them when they're solo they should remain headstrong.
~•~
Dear wolves, never rely on numbers but quality.
Your worth is not measured by your likability.
Don't think large numbers of 'likes' prove Allah loves you too;
Others' dealings with you don't define your true value.
~•~
I admire those Muslims who do Da'wah for God's sake,
Not after of the likes, not so some could validate,
Not for one's ego, but to please Allah sincerely,
They desire Allah's Pleasure, not popularity.
~•~
Only the insincere would guess they are showing off,
When in reality they work just for Allah's Love.
Sometimes these groups are found alone like strange 'ghurabaa',
As Allah's allies, they strive to uplift the Ummah.
~•~
They're far above sinful talks and evil companions,
In terms of Taqwa they try their best to be champions,
They're tough enough to do the wise thing which few can do,
And when the crowds are led astray, they choose to stay true.
~•~
Their good morals are too much for the mediocre.
Their honesty and frankness intimidate liars.
They're distinguished from others by their late night prayers,
Enjoining right, forbidding wrong, being brave leaders.
~•~
Lone wolves, you're not alone; Allah is always with you.
Note: God's Angels of Mercy supplicate for you too.
Keep calm knowing you're one of Allah's close friends scattered,
Jannah is where we can unite with God's supporters.
~•~

May Allah Almighty make us among His righteous friends whom He will welcome in Jannatul Firdaus near Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

POEM: Some Views On Homosexuality & Same-Sex Attraction

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Allah knows best. In my opinion, none is born gay.
With Adam for Eve, men were designed to like females.
Same-sex attraction takes place when one exaggerates
One's love for another despite their gender's the same,
Or it is caused by how one was improperly raised.

It could be gay men were exposed to girl stuff when young,
Played with dolls and make-up till they were into fashion,
Trying women's clothing for fun with all the freedom,
Watching girly films, befriending girls - none to stop them,
Or shaytan misleads them to like guys they find handsome.

Lesbians or bi-girls may have been brought up roughly,
Told often to 'man up' and quit crying like babies,
Played sports enjoyed by boys till they behaved more manly,
Or shaytan misleads them to like girls for their beauty,
Or crush on another female who's smart, brave and sweet.

Homosexuality is a sin just like stealing,
Adultery, usury, lying and backbiting.
Evil desire which some incline to, it's forbidden.
It's Jihad for those who strive against this attraction -
All Muslims will be rewarded for avoiding sins.

Our love for a Muslim is for Allah's sake only.
When loving other Muslims, we love moderately.
Avoid prolonged eye-contact and sharing the same sheet,
Don't stare at each other's 'awrah. Do dress modestly.
May Allah the Almighty guide us always. Ameen.

POEM: A Tribute To Niqabi Sisters

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

A tribute for Allah's sake to niqabis,
Courageous sisters who value modesty,
Who dress to please Allah not society.
Their beauty's reserved for their husbands only.

Niqab is not just for those who are pretty,
It's for sisters who love acquiring good deeds,
In terms of piety they love to compete,
And set themselves apart from girls who are cheap.

They're wise enough to know if you have beauty,
Don't flaunt it but treasure it, save it and keep.
Conceal it like gemstones meant for the worthy.
Your best appeal is for your husband only.

Good looks come in various forms and qualities;
Don't claim niqab is only for the pretty.
The more a Muslimah would dress modestly,
As her esteem, faith and self-respect increase.

Allah is the One Whom we aspire to please,
We won't change if some view us negatively.
Only noble souls can sense Islam's beauty
And see the worth of modest communities.

More veiled sisters means less insecurity,
Less comparison to shun adultery.
To cover up willingly is to be free,
Unlike those enslaved by fashion industries.

Judge niqabis by their personality,
Unique minds and voices - not just the body.
Muslimahs wear hijab and cover fully,
While the niqab enhances one's dignity.

POEM: No To Niqab Ban

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

A letter, for Allah's sake, from a Muslim on behalf of many,
To those who think it is right to refuse niqabis' rights unjustly:
Why do you claim a piece of cloth/niqab is a threat to your city,
When there are myriad methods for some to conceal their identity?

The niqab is not just clothing but one of the keys to earn God's Love,
For Muslim women with self-respect, who in their faith wish to stay tough.
From the disobedient lewd lasses, the niqab distinguishes us.
Our goal is to be modest for God Only; we don't dress to impress.

The face we cover as it's the main source of beauty and attraction.
The voice, not one's appearance, is the icon for communication.
With the niqab, there'd be less cases of physical comparison,
And a woman's beauty is so special it's reserved for her husband.

So please understand it is unfair to ban this religious freedom.
If you leaders are concerned about your lands' safety and protection,
You might as well ban cosmetic surgery and all cosplay costumes,
Transgenderism, R-rated films, and the selling of all weapons.

By banning the niqab you're only instigating hatred, not peace.
Preventing some women from their love of modesty is tyranny.
Good countries should let their people co-exist despite diversity.
To ban the niqab makes a country close-minded, not esteemed nor free.

To check a woman's identity is okay, but don't fully ban.
The reasons why thousands of women wear niqab try to understand.
Other ways to prove identity are fingerprints, lines on one's hands,
DNA, natural gait, intellect and how the Muslimah sounds.

To Muslimahs in countries wherein wearing the niqab is not free,
Try to migrate to another place if you have the ability.
Otherwise do your best to please Allah and talk to Him steadfastly.
With God's Will you deserve Jannah Paradise for your sincerity.
Just say 'HasbunAllah wa Ne'm Al-Wakeel' and show Islam is peace.

POEM: On Lost Friendships And Those We Once Knew

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

A poem on the topic of lost friendships,
Friends transformed to foes and those we used to know,
From lessons learned through experience, sharing tips
To remind others that they are not alone.

On facebook I’ve spotted lots of folks I knew
From school, places I’ve been to, when we were young.
With some so many adventures I went through,
Swapped jokes and laughter, played games, had loads of fun.

Numbers of them I’ve added but they refused,
Probably disliking my transformation,
The jealous among them hate what I now do,
While the rest have old memories forgotten.

Strangely I remember the good times we had,
Soccer, jogging, yoga, playing Truth or Dare,
Long telephone-calls and fancy teenage fads,
Bandanas we wore, styles we tried on our hair,

Exchanging VCDs, DVDs and mags,
And other stuff we used to do together.
At times I wonder what’s the point of those hugs
And love if they had no place in the future.

Then I’ve learned: People come and go, few remain.
Past friends are teachers who taught us memories.
Present names are tests. True friends are those who stay.
Rare worthy ones make it to your VIP.

As for online friends who ditched you, it’s okay.
Learn not to acquire their awful qualities.
Lost friends in this world can always be replaced.
Those who’ll like you share your goals, dislikes and needs.

So long as Allah loves you, you are all-right.
Make Allah your Best Friend, Qur’an by your side,
Books are neat companions, Tahajjud at night,
No need for evil friends who lie and backbite.

May Allah the Most Kind grant us His Friendship,
His Love and entry to Jannah Paradise.
Ameen. Gifts to find in all relationships:
Self-awareness, increased strength, a light that guides.

POEM: Good Teachers v.s. Bad Teaching Style

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

From teachers I've observed at schools I've been to,
And surveys of students regarding their likes,
With God's Will I've gathered nine differences
Between good teachers and bad teachers unwise:

_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
One: Bad teachers teach with insincerity,
Full of lies, they mainly work for the money.
Good teachers teach sincerely for Allah's sake,
To help and share their knowledge out of mercy.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Two: Bad teachers are often late or absent,
Late to arrive in class, early to go home.
Good teachers are regularly on time, and
Don't mind completing their work in class alone.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Three: Bad teachers get angry when asked questions -
Lessons unclear - for them 'one word is enough'.
Good teachers are ready to answer and help,
They love making things easy that which is tough.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Four: Bad teachers lack good manners and kind words.
No words of encouragement - they hate to smile.
Good teachers are motherly, fatherly, nice -
Meetings with their students are fun and worthwhile.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Five: Bad teachers treat parents as enemies -
They hate them in class, like they have things to hide.
Good teachers see parents as friends or teammates,
And they welcome guests to their class anytime.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Six: Bad teachers are so good at backbiting -
They speak badly of both teachers and students.
Good Muslim teachers know that God is Watching,
Gossip shows one's ignorance - and imprudence.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Seven: Bad teachers take their class for granted -
They don't correct mistakes, and don't grade on time.
Good teachers are always honest in grading,
And are proud, not jealous, when a student shines.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Eight: Bad teachers refuse to lead or follow -
They're passive - or the school's rules they contradict.
Good teachers have initiative to do right -
Both leaders and followers, they're not too strict.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Nine: Bad teachers don't take control of their class.
With their class so noisy, not all students learn.
Good teachers are able to quiet a class
Of many students, through being kind and firm.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
While each teacher has his/her own teaching style,
What's important is that knowledge is received.
Countries can thrive when all are educated
And are willing to help meet each other's needs.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
The Prophet Muhammad* is the best teacher -
Many lessons and good morals he had taught.
Teachers, know that teaching is a trust from God.
Thus, do your best, as it's the most noble job.
_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
May Allah the Most Kind accept our good deeds,
And reward us for teaching all that we know.
Ameen. So teach for Allah's sake, keep learning,
Educate, inspire, love - the Way to God show.

POEM: Niqabis, wear niqab for Allah's sake.

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Niqabis, wear the niqaab for Allah’s sake,
Or the full face-veil to differentiate
Yourself as a Muslimah from those astray,
Not to feel superior, you wish to obey....
___________________
Stay modest as the *Prophet Muhammad’s wives,
Who were known to be clad in black when outside,
By their voices or style they were recognized,
Their gems and adornments, like true queens, they’d hide.
___________________
With the niqaab, no man needs to know your age,
No need for heavy make-up each night and day,
Judged not by looks, but by what you do and say,
A reminder for some to lower the gaze.
___________________
Fear Allah Almighty as much as you can,
When asked to unveil face for checkpoint reasons,
Find ways to comply without any problems.
Acts are rewarded based on their intentions.
___________________
While obeying God some struggles you may meet,
Be steadfast, in Jannah is real bliss and peace.
May Allah forgive us, accept our good deeds,
And allow us to see Him smiling. Ameen.

POEM: What Some Friends Have Taught Me Regarding Friendship

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Some lessons on friendship I've learned from old friends,
Friends of various types and personalities -
No lies as always, no guessing nor pretense,
Just taking some lessons from past memories.

From Saudi friends - at private and public schools,
I've learned that stereotyping is but a lie,
Friends can be found in both the cool and uncool,
Friendship develops when both parties are kind.

From friends who come from their country Pakistan,
I've learned how generosity forms liking,
To be close to someone help and understand,
Egoism may keep one from forgiving.

From Yemeni sisters whom I still recall,
I've learned that at times one must make the first move,
Accept the friendship of those who are sincere,
For strong bonds are seen between friends who are true.

From a special ex-friend who chose to stay far,
I've learned that when you love find a middle way,
Don't love or hate too much, some friends become foes,
And some strangers may transform to friends someday.

Now from some of the new friends recently made,
I've observed that Only Allah we can trust,
It's best to be with Him than befriend some fakes,
Who talk badly and clearly put on an act.

While some may hate you out of mere jealousy,
There are those few who can be your best of friends,
Who insist on sharing, seeing you happy,
And who secretly pray for you now and then.

What makes some people click and get along quick,
From experience, is when both friends are alike,
In terms of shared likes, dislikes, similar goals,
Comfort with each other and distance from lies.

Regardless of how many friends you have made,
Friendship with Allah is what matters the most.
Some Muslims on earth may not be that famous,
Yet Allah and those in Heaven love them so.

May Allah Almighty make us among His righteous friends whom He will welcome in Jannatul Firdaus near Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ameen.

POEM: Similar Souls Likely Get Along

In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
With Allah’s Will similar souls get along.
Good souls click with the right, bad ones with the wrong.
Those who share your goals in your circle belong,
With your own team, not with all, you can get on.

    ____________
So when you wonder why with this you both clicked,
Your love increases with that each time you meet,
While with others your likes and dislikes won’t fit,
It’s because souls seek those not too different.

    ____________
Never met them but I liked some instantly,
Seeing them share gifts of knowledge lovingly.
As for those few I loathe, yet I’ve known for years,
Bad vibes they give out I don’t want to go near.

    ____________
More likely to be friends with those more like you,
If you’re truthful you’ll attract souls who are true,
Liars and fakes won’t agree with what you do,
With the deceitful you’ll more often dispute.

    ____________
Your friends may define you, choose them carefully.
    May Allah Almighty grant ability
To pick wisely – quality then quantity,
Good companions who want Jannah too. Ameen.
    ____________
Imam Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) reported in his Sahih that 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “I heard the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam saying: ‘Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.’”
    (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Kitab Ahadith Al-Anbiyaa’).

POEM: Forgive And Unite As One Ummah

    In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
Love for Allah’s sake Muslims and family,
Include each other’s names in du’as daily.
True love is found in advising sincerely,
Guiding to what’s right which brings serenity.
      ____________
Don’t let vile pride stop you from understanding,
Nor let arrogance keep you from forgiving.
Prone to err and forget, as human beings,
All have flaws and reasons for every doing.
      ____________
Though improbable to get along with all,
To stay polite with morals it’s possible.
Put yourself in their shoes, understand their call,
Recall no one’s perfect and impeccable.
      ____________
Tips to not hate those whom you must love: Listen.
Pay attention to their side. Learn expressions.
List good times you had and when you needed them.
Forgive like you would long to be forgiven.
       ____________
Forgive for Allah’s sake the Most Merciful.
Move on to meet relief and sleep whilst peaceful.
Did you know, satan cheers when Muslims quarrel.
Unite as one Ummah to win life’s battles.
      ____________
Allah the Almighty said, “So know (O Muhammad – peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women.” [The Noble Qur'an 47:19]

      POEM: Sharing Niqab Experience

      In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Alhamdulillah first time wearing niqab went well,
It began as a dress code at a Saudi gov. school,
Only when going outside to wear the complete veil.
No problem with niqab back then save for some travels.

I used to think niqab should be worn just in Saudi,
My faith back then was not strong till Islam I studied.
Back then I was conscious of wearing niqab fully,
Was okay wearing it around many niqabis,

But after research and advice from my dear parents,
I’ve learned niqab is Wajib or at least encouraged.
To remove niqab as Hajj pilgrims is evidence
That niqab is Wajib, rewarding and important.

Niqab is useful in a sense it prevents wrong gaze,
It’s meant to promote modesty and strengthen one’s faith,
To join those who strive to obey God’s Laws night and day,
Distinguishing devout women from those led astray.

        Alhamdulillah I’m now a full-time niqaabi,
Don’t mind if I’m the only one amongst hijabis.
Not a big deal too if onlookers would stare at me.
Another way of doing Da’wah indirectly.

Negative reactions with niqab? Yes, a few times.
‘Aswang!’ or ‘Monster!’ I’ve been called once by a scared child,
A few laughter here or there in public, day or night,
Curious stares from those who see niqab for the first time.

Even from some Muslim kids I’ve been asked ‘Why wear that?’
My response: ‘I’m Muslim, faith stronger with the niqab.’
I’ve been called ‘Ninja!’ by ignorant adults and brats,
Their lack of travel and world knowledge I understand.

Love niqab for Allah’s sake, dear niqabi sisters.
All your sins are taken by each one of your mockers.
Those who ridicule, think, they’ve never been travelers,
They’re insecure, so through you they try to find laughter.

Take pride in being of the ‘ghurabaa’ / strangers few,
Humble to God, nice with likes, watchful of what you do,
Adorned with manners and inner beauty that shines through,
Praying you enter Jannah and Allah welcomes you.

May Allah the Most Merciful accept all our good deeds, forgive all our wrongdoings, answer our du'as and reunite us with our Muslim loved ones in the uppermost level of Heaven Jannatul Firdaus next to Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam. POEM: On The Muslim Ummah's State

        In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Say “HasbunAllah wa Ni’m Al-Wakeel”, Allah knows
All events that take place and mishaps caused by His foes.
Allah saw what happened in Syria and Palestine,
Rohingya, Burma, Iraq – to all innocent lives.

Negative news of Muslims may be a wake-up call,
For all Muslims to unite as oppression befalls,
A search for peaceful warriors who’ll stand by the oppressed,
Through charity and speaking out against injustice.

To criminals: “What goes around comes around” please note,
If justice is not served on earth then in the next world.
Don’t do unto others what you don’t want done to you.
Peace can be achieved though we vary in what we do.

To oppressors: Don’t let your pride get the best of you.
Evil has its consequences. God’s Justice is True.
It’s possible to attain peace without greed and wars,
If you listen to all sides, support truth, not liars.

To Muslims: Forgive each other, show Islam is peace,
Practice what you preach, share your knowledge out of mercy.
Through certain trials Allah takes martyrs, sins fall off,
Islam promoted, Muslims tested on faith and love.

To non-Muslims: Please study Islam. Don’t just assume.
As Muslims, we’re discouraged from violence and feuds.
We’re taught to teach Islam kindly, not spread it by force,
To make things easy through good manners, not make things worse.

May Allah accept our faith that God is Only One,
Who witnessed all that took place, what has been said and done,
May Allah welcome us in Jannah for our good deeds,
And may Allah prove all that Islam is Peace. Ameen.

The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Dear Allah the Almighty, Most Wise and Kind,
On this special day, as we fast at this time,

Pardon our wrongdoings, please excuse our flaws,
About what we go through, Only You know most,
To what is dear to You Allah bring us close.
          .:.
Keep us away from what You Allah don’t like,
Please bless the gifts You gave us each day and night,
Make us among Your friends who enjoin what’s right,
O’ Allah guide us and remain on our side.
          .:.
Those who have mistreated us You’ve seen them well,
With them O’ Allah wisely and justly deal,
Each one’s future Just You Allah hold and tell,
In Jannatul Firdaus allow us to dwell.
          .:.
Forgive us for prayers not prayed perfectly,
          For gossiping and lying misguidedly,
For thinking wrong thoughts about anybody,
For all sins done publicly or privately.
          .:.
O’ Allah noble manners please teach us more,
Learning the Qur’an daily make us adore,
To Your Mercy and Light please open Your doors,
Make Jannah, near You Allah, our home for sure.

POEM: My Niqab Story And The Benefits Of Wearing Niqaab

          In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Quick story to share with you for Allah’s sake
Of how I started wearing niqaab with faith:
From birth to about ten years old, my young days,
That time when I too traveled to U.S.A.
I did not wear hijab at that early stage.
          .:.
As a preteen, before age thirteen years old,
I embraced wearing hijab when outside home.
In sixth grade, I wore niqaab as school dress code,
At those Saudi public schools that are well-known,
Yet for a while I hid feelings that were wrong.

          .:.
I wanted niqaab worn only in Saudi,
Was shy of wearing it in other countries,
Was conscious back then of many stares at me,
‘Till some Sheikhs answered my questions on T.V.
          About niqaab – I’ve learned it’s mandatory.

          .:.
Though young I was eager to learn more Islam,
So I researched more online to understand.
One proof of the obligation of niqaab:
Female pilgrims should not wear it during Hajj.
The niqaab also uplifts one’s faith/Imaan.

          .:.
In my teenage years I wore niqaab when out,
Yet my confidence back then was not yet loud,
‘Till I saw her at this hotel’s restaurant,
A niqaabi in black, with good vibes about,
She inspired me – of her Islam she was proud.

          .:.
In my twenties I learned to love niqaab more,
Whether in Saudi, Philippines, or abroad.
Of the niqaab’s importance I became sure,
Not caring what viewers think nor their vile slurs.
When people insult, your sins are theirs galore.

          .:.
Niqaabis are loved not by their choice of clothes,
Appearance, riches, or beauty cheaply shown.
By our faith and personality we’re known.
To be with Allah, as His friends, is our goal.
May Jannatul Firdaus be our promised home. Ameen.

SONNET: The Insecure V.S. The Confident

          In The Name Of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

When this shopper bumps their cart into yours,
Or some salespeople are late to respond,
And they don't say sorry for seeming coarse,
Note - they're insecure or plain ignorant.
          .:.
They witness you're better so they act ‪‎rude,
          They're freaks of nature uneducated.
To be unkind is to be insecure.
Bad traits from the jealous are expected.
          .:.
The confident ones like to lift you up,
Enjoy seeing you smile, can give advice,
At anyone's mishaps would never laugh,
Are wisely nice and can apologize.
          .:.
Stay friendly, confident for Allah's sake,
Grateful that you're with those on the Right Way.
