In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
There are three types of dreams every Muslim has -
First are good dreams, which only come from Allah,
Among the best of this kind are dreams in which
You get to see Muhammad RasulAllah
(SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam).
These dreams are so special you can't forget them.
Dreams you remember may carry great meanings.
They could be messages from Allah or signs,
Promises of good, or important warnings.
What one may see in such type of dreams: meeting
With friends not yet met, climbing or ascending,
Flying gracefully, entering gold mansions -
Whose floors glow beside gates as high as mountains.
Good or Prophetic dreams like these should never
Be shared with anyone, except your closest.
Only your parents - free from envy - may know
What dreams you've had. Learn from the Prophet Joseph.
Second category of dreams are those you
Dream because of your thoughts or your current mood.
These often forgotten dreams are influenced
By noise you hear or something you wish to do.
Example: When you're in need of using the
Toilet, you dream of visiting a bathroom.
If you're someone who loves learning, sometimes your
Dreams are of schools, or take place in a classroom.
If you ask, "What's the difference between these
Dreams and good dreams?" The latter you remember.
Plain dreams you often forget when awake, while
Your good dreams you know well, even days later.
Third type of dreams are nightmares - scenes from satan,
Who celebrates when you show your fear of him.
Bad dreams must never be told to anyone -
Since they are lies, they should not be believed in.
Seek refuge with Allah from satan upon
Waking up from a bad dream that you dislike.
Before sleeping, recite from the Qur'an, try
To sleep with ablution, and keep to your right.
Again, three kinds of dreams: First - Dreams from Allah,
Messages from Allah, glad tidings or signs.
Second - Dreams from one's self, which one may forget.
Third - Bad dreams from satan, which are nought but lies.
Your dreams are like your secrets - not to be shared -
Except with those you trust, who lack jealousy.
Beautiful dreams you still remember may be
Maps to treasures, coming from Allah's Mercy.
Allah the Almighty knows best.
May Allah the Most Merciful forgive us always,
accept all our good deeds and join us with His loved ones in Firdaus/Heaven
near Him and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
Wasalaam~
