POEM: Sonnet "Birds Of A Feather Flock Together"

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

Imam Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) reported in his Saheeh that ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “I heard the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam saying: ‘Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.’” [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

Allah knows best. If one were to ask you:
Why is it that we get along with some;
With them we feel good, and like what they do -
While others repulse you or seem humdrum?

If one likes you, you're on the same level,
You share qualities, your goals are the same,
You both support the truth and loathe evil,
Or with each other you agree always.

When one's rude, their hatred stems from envy,
When aloof -maybe shy or terrified;
Inferior to you themselves they might see,
With those groups try to be patient -stay nice.

Good people get on with the good like them,
While God's foes love those who indulge in sin.
